:Minority Report:
Rating: Rentable but not worth the hype
Perhaps I am a bit biased because I generally do not like science fiction movies, but “Minority Report” was just an average movie. Although the premise was interesting, too many things were too far fetched to make them believable for me. The whole system that made pre-crime possible to detect was absurd. Are we supposed to believe that three drug-induced zombies can see the future? Common!
My favorite sci-fi movie is “Gatica” because the technologies presented in the movie not only seem possible but likely in the near future. Parts of “Minority Report” were just too drawn out and far-fetched for me to completely enjoy. I am glad that I finally got to see the movie, but I am also glad I did not pay to see it in the theater.
